BOSTON TOWNSHIP
SHARE A CHRISTMAS: The Trustees will once again be sponsoring Share-A-Christmas in our community. Food drop boxes will be located at the Peninsula Library, Terry Lumber, the Boston Township Hall (lower level) and Kamper City.
WEBSITE: Visit our website at www.bostontownship.org. Joanne has added copies of old bills and correspondence from our files. It is very interesting to see all of the names from our past. The site allows us to give you up to date information. It has a community calendar and up to date bicycle and running race information.
ZONING: There is an opening on the Township’s zoning commission as well as an opening for an alternate position. If you are interested, please send your resume and letter of qualifications to the Trustees at P.O. Box 123 Peninsula, OH 44264.
SENIOR SNOWPLOWING: For those of you that were in our senior snowplowing program last year you will automatically receive your application this year. If you need an application, please contact Amy Anderson.
PILT: The Trustees will be meeting with Summit County officials on November 24, 2009 in an effort to obtain more of the Payment in Lieu of Taxes money that is given by the federal government. Currently the bulk of the money is kept by Summit County.
JEDZ: Trustee Jerry Ritch has been attending meetings regarding the Township’s involvement with the JEDZ. The Trustees will not sign this agreement without without input in the master plan for the area.
BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE: If you are interested in participating in the planning of the Township’s Bicentennial, please contact Randy Bergdorf.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Woodridge Cross Country team on another first place in the state competition. Congratulations also to Andrew Pullekins on passing the Bar exam in October.
EVERETT ROAD SEWER PROJECT: A sign on Riverview Road at Everett announces re0placemetn of “failing septic systems” by a lift station and forced main line south to the Akron sewage plant.
