PENINSULA MIX

Stop to see the School House quilting Squares at the Downtown Emporium, Elements Gallery, Yellow Creek Trading Company, Peninsula Art Academy, and the Log Cabin Gallery. The squares were made by the Ladies Aid Society of the Everett Church of Christ in the 1940’s These school house squares are from the estate of Miss Ivel Kepner, postmistress of Everett, and were donated by Louise Moore, whose husband, John F. Moore, is Miss Kepner’s nephew.

Lia Lockert, daughter of Jim and the late Millie Lockert has given up on the District of Columbia and brought her enthusiasm back to Peninsula. She is interested in the Peninsula Player’s Barn which was built in 1900 by Fred Kelly who was the official biographer for the Wright Brothers of Dayton, Ohio. Because the barn has reached its 100th year it may qualify for restoration funds. More on this later.
