BOSTON TOWNSHIP

The township minutes are posted on our website at www.bostontownship.org and outside the fiscal office at the Boston Township Hall. Trustee meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Zoning commission meets the second Tuesday of the month and the Board of Zoning Appeals meets the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Trash Contract: The trustees voted to stay with Kimble for trash pickup. The rate will be $15.22 per month, billed quarterly. Residents can also choose to participate in the bag option at $3.07 per bag.

Everett Road: Summit County Council has voted to close Everett Road from east of Farmstead Road in Richfield Township to the Everett Connector in Boston Township. Provision has been made to allow for access for emergency services should the need arise.

Road Striping: The trustees voted to stripe Hines Hill, Major, and Oak Hill roads as part of a cooperative effort with Summit County.

BZA Alternate: Former township trustee Jerry Ritch was appointed as an alternate to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a one-year term expiring December 31. Should a regularly seated member be unable to attend a meeting, the alternate steps in. The trustees are still looking for an alternate to the Zoning Commission. If anyone is interested, please contact one of the trustees for more information.

Zoning Hearing: The Board of Zoning Appeals will have a hearing on February 27 at 6:30PM for the property located at 5079 Akron-Cleveland Road for a variance for a distributor`s warehouse. Also on the agenda will be a variance for the property located at 241 Keenan Road for an accessory building.
