Patriotism is when
love of your own
people comes first;
nationalism, when
hate for people
other than your
own comes first.

WOODRIDGE FOOTBALL FIELD

On September 23, 2022, following a five-week delay, the first football game was held at the newly improved Lahoski football field at Woodridge High School. The picture below shows the ribbon cutting by members of the Lahoski family as well as school officials. The game was also the 50th anniversary of the class of 1972. Class member, Ken Stiver, related the history of the football stadium, first built in 1971, moving the field from Peninsula to its current location. The field was initially built by parents and family members of the football team. Many members of the class of 1972 are active in the community including school board member Tammy Heffernan.
