Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
It is with a mixture of joyful expectation for the gift of new opportunities, and sadness at the close of a wonderful season in ministry. I share with you that I have been selected to serve a full- time appointment at First United Methodist Church of East Liverpool, Ohio, beginning July 1, 2023. It has been a blessed time of ministry and mission here at Peninsula United Methodist Church, and within our community, for these past eight years. Peter and I have shared many meaningful experiences and made many new friends.
Reverend Lea Mahan has been appointed to serve another season as Pastor of PUMC beginning in July. Many of you will recall Lea from her former years in ministry here. Lea is very much in tune with the good work the church has been doing, and I am sure I will be hearing great things about the church and our local community in the future.

A Farewell Celebration for Pastor Claudia will be taking place in the community room at PUMC following the 10:00AM worship service on Sunday, June 18. All are welcome!
We would like to acknowledge our gratitude to Sally Cook, longtime Peninsula resident, for her generous bequest to PUMC, after her passing in February. Sally had been a good friend to the church for the past several years. She thoughtfully (and anonymously) donated nine Election Day Dinners to some of our neighbors-in-need last November. Her generosity has and will continue to touch many within our community.
