PENINSULA VILLAGE

Village Council met in person for the Regular Council Session August 9, 2021.

Council passed the motion to accept the $34,691 quote from Chagrin Valley Paving, Inc to pave north & south of the Riverview Road Slippery Run Bridge repair area.

Council passed the motion to confirm the Mayor`s appointment of Officer Dennis Pongracz as a full-time police officer effective August 13, 2021.

Council Passed the following Ordinances, 13-2021 and ordinance 14-2021 that can be found on the Village Website.

Village Council met in person for the Regular Council Session September 13, 2021.

Council passed the motion to accept the bid of Republic Services of Ohio Hauling for the Village`s Solid Waste and Recycling contract for 2022-2026.

Council passed the motion to accept the Salt Contract with Boston Township.

Council passed the motion to approve the Dispatch Service Agreement with the City of Hudson for the period of January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024.

Council passed the motion to approve the quote from Sundance Systems for mobile data terminal and records management software, services, and licensing to be used by the police department.

Moving to second reading next Council session will be Resolution No. 15-2021 A expressing the Village of Peninsula Mayor and Council`s displeasure with the Conservancy for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cuyahoga Valley National Park`s collective efforts to acquire, own, and control the entirety of the former Brandywine Golf Course property.

Council passed Resolutions, 16-2021, 17-2021 and 18-2021 that can be viewed on the village website.

If you are utilizing your property for short-term rentals, please remit a completed Short-Term Rental Certificate Application to the Village. All Short-Term Rental related forms can be found on the Village website under the ZONING tab.

Brush pick-up is now the 1st Tuesday of each month with the exception to severe storm damage and will continue till the 1st Tuesday of October. Brush only, cut ends to the road.

Leaf Pick-Up will be October 18, 2021-December 10, 2021

Reminder to our residents, that it is your responsibility to keep your sidewalks, ditches, and driveway culverts clear.

Mayor stated Halloween Trick-or-Treating will be observed in the Village on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM
