PENINSULA LIBRARY NEWS

COVID Update: We have been returning some things back to pre-Covid status. Furniture has been moved back to its proper place and in-person programs are being phased in. Because we are still monitoring the Delta strain, some Covid-related things will stay in place for now, such as the Plexiglas that was installed on the Circulation Desk. Of course, we will continue to encourage hand sanitizing and other common sense things learned during Covid to keep us safe from many other types of germs as well. During this time, we want all patrons to feel comfortable in the library so we are requesting that patrons continue to wear masks. Because of close proximities, attendees of in-person programs will be required to wear masks. Also, if you would like us to bring library materials to you curbside, please let us know.

Delayed Opening on September 29: The library`s neighbor to the north will be taking down two very large and one smaller tree on September 29. All three trees are within a few feet of the property line. Upon consultation with the library`s insurance provider and to assist the neighbors, the library will be closed to patrons during the time of the tree removal. This process will involve the use of cranes and other large equipment. The removal should start at 8:00AM and last for up to 6 hours. Patrons should be able to re-enter the library by 2:00PM.

The Peninsula Library is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM to 8:00PM and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
