To the Editors:

Communication creates community. A small group of Peninsula citizens (Positively Peninsula) have been meeting for the past five months to better understand and influence the critical issues facing our village: sewer and economic viability. Our approach has included meeting with local officials and community partners. We have learned that decisions are being made that will impact our cost of living and have the potential to drastically change our community. We have concerns about some of the information we have gathered and now seek to improve communication for all residents and business owners. We believe informed citizens, given the option to proactively participate, will create better outcomes for public sewer and economic development.
