BOSTON TOWNSHIP

SPEEDY RECOVERY WISHES: Township Clerk, Joanne Noragon suffered a stroke on June 13th. She is making a remarkable recovery and came home on June 19th.

JEDD: On June 10, 2010 the Trustees met with members of Peninsula’s council to discuss the formation of a JEDD with township land. Jerry Ritch, our JEDD liaison, will be meeting with two of their representatives to ascertain the possibility of this venture.

MEMORIAL DAY: Thank you to Patty Tesmer for coordinating the Memorial Day festivities and Russ, Tammy, and Andrew Shaffer for making Boston and Cedar Grove look exceptionally beautiful. Thank you also to everyone who participated in the parade.

JEDZ: The Township will not be participating in the Joint Economic Development Zone. Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, and Hudson wanted to apply for a grant before the plans could be finalized. A scaled back plan that excluded the Township was formed.

FIRE DISTRICT CLERK: The Trustees thanked Joanne Noragon for her efforts as clerk of Valley Fire District. Joanne served as clerk for four years and resigned on June 7, 2010.

BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE: The Bicentennial Committee continues to meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 in the Township meeting room. Anyone wishing to help is invited.
