BOSTON TOWNSHIP

PLANNING: The Trustees met with Mark Majewski from NORTHSTAR planning + design seeking assistance in rezoning for the proposed new JEDD (Joint Economic Development District). He will be submitting a proposal for the next trustee meeting.

SENIOR SNOWPLOWING: This is the eighth year the Township has offered snowplowing for our senior citizens. Approximately $2,200 was spent during the 2010-2011 snow season.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING CUTS: Proposed funding cuts for the fiscal year 2012 will be 20.9% and 35.6% in 2013. Funding for the 2010 calendar year was $114,521. Proposed for the 2012 fiscal year $90,472 and for the fiscal year 2013 $57,902.

ZONING: The Trustees are seeking an alternate member for the zoning commission. If you are interested please send a letter of interest with your background information to P.O. Box 123 Peninsula, OH 44264.

BICENTENNIAL: The program committee has begun filling the patron page of the Boston Township bicentennial program. For a donation of $10.00 your patron name will be on the patron list of the program and you will receive a bicentennial button with the event date, June 18, 2011.
