tribute to those who
have given their lives in
our nation's wars.

BOSTON TOWNSHIP

RECENT BREAK-INS: The trustees would like to remind everyone to make sure to lock your doors, windows, and cars even when you are home. We all feel we are safe working in our yards or sitting on our back decks. We leave garages and front doors wide open thinking we are safe. Unfortunately, a burglar took this opportunity to enter the home of one of our residents. Please secure your doors.

ROAD VACATIONS: The trustees attended a public hearing at Summit County Council regarding a request to vacate Stanford, Wetmore, and a section of Oak Hill south of the Everett Road connector. The next public hearing will be held June 11, 2012. We thank Summit County Councilman, Nick Kostandaras, for his assistance at the hearing.

DONATION THANKS: The trustees would like to thank the members of the Akron Bicycle Club for their most generous donation of $500 to Valley Fire District. The group bicycles in the community on a regular basis and appreciated the assistance provided by the rescue squad.

BRUSH CHIPPING: Beginning in May, brush chipping for residents in the unincorporated part of the township will be the first Monday of each month. Please remember to place your branches at the curb and away from mailboxes. No root balls please.

PUBLIC HEARING: There will be a public hearing on June 26, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Boston Store Visitor Center, 1548 Boston Mills Road, regarding a request for a permit for discharges from the wetland treatment system into the Cuyahoga River.
