PENINSULA LIBRARY JUNE PROGRAMS
Fly Fishing! June 16, 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
Whether you’re after bass & bluegill at a local pond, or stalking brown trout on the Battenkill or Henry’s Fork, this class will give you the basic skills needed to be successful. Jim Sexton, a fly fisherman of over 30 years, teaches this introductory fly casting class that will enable you to master equipment and techniques that are useful for all species of fish, no matter where you wet a line. A brief classroom session focuses on fly fishing gear, terminology, knot tying, hook sizes, and the physics of the cast; the remainder of the class will be held outside for casting instruction where each student will learn at their own pace. You will quickly gain the confidence needed to excel in this great outdoor sport. Equipment provided if needed. Limited to 3 students. Reserve your place; the class will fill up quickly.
