PENINSULA VALLEY HISTORIC & EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Our Civil War Lecture Series at the G.A.R. Hall returns for another season! Join us on Thursday, May 24th at 7:00 PM when John Fazio presents Love & War, a true story so ironic that one would think it was scripted in Hollywood. Admission is free!

Join us for Open Mic Night at the G.A.R. Hall every third Thursday of the month from 7:00-11:00 PM. Admission is free!

Tony Ellis, Louise Adkins and Suzanne Thomas brought their traditional music to Bronson Church on a crispy April evening, warmed by voices in harmony and acoustic music. An appreciative audience enjoyed banjo, fiddle, guitar and pump organ along with vocals and impromptu a cappella chorus, continuing the new era of hosting at our historic venues. Musicians also included Peninsula resident Doug Unger and fiddler Liz Amos. The Foundation is most pleased to see such exciting responses to events hosted in our unique settings. We thank the musicians for such a fine concert and the audience for their support!

Call for local artists! If interested in renting a booth at the G.A.R. Hall on Saturday, June 30th for our “Artists Alley,” send an email to Karen@crookedrivercreative.com.
