BOSTON TOWNSHIP

EAD: Following a zoning public hearing on December 11, 2012 regarding the pending Economic Activity District, the trustees will have a public hearing on January 9, 2013 at 6:00PM.

ROAD CLOSURES: The trustees attended a hearing before Summit County Council on December 3, 2012 regarding the closure of Wetmore and Oak Hill Roads on December 3, 2012. The subject will be revisited in April. The trustees entered into an agreement with the City of Cuyahoga Falls whereby they will provide snow and ice control on Wetmore during this period and accept all liability in exchange for keeping the road open. Oak Hill remains closed due to a landslide issue.

NPS CONTRACT: The trustees negotiated with the CVNP to provide snow and ice removal for Stanford Road. We will receive $8,000 per year for this service.

SHARE-A-CHRISTMAS: The trustees would like to thank Norma Hammond and the students at Woodridge High School for the food donations for Share-A Christmas. Thanks to Terry Lumber and the library for allowing food drop-off locations in the community. Special thanks to Paul and Marsha Sergi for their most generous donation as well as Tony and Leda Flowers Brandt. Thank you to the members of Valley Fire for delivery services.

ZONING: The trustees would like to thank Kathy Mathies for her work on the BZA. Kathy recently moved to Stow. If you are interested in serving on the BZA or as an alternate to either the zoning commission or the BZA please contact one of the trustees.

JEDD: Due to a scheduling conflict Mayor Doug Mayer and his council representative have been invited to attend the January 23, 2013 Trustees meeting to discuss the possibility of a partnership in the new EAD JEDD area.

SENIOR SNOW PLOWING: Please call Amy at 330-657-2439 if you need an application. We have expanded this program to include families that have a serviceman or woman stationed overseas.
