opportunity to serve.
It is not a
trumpet call
to self-importance.

BOSTON TOWNSHIP

NEW JEDD: The Trustees scheduled a work session with Mayor Doug Mayer and Peninsula council representatives for March 20, 2013 at the township meeting room to discuss the possibility of forming a Joint Economic Development District. The new JEDD area will encompass the newly created Economic Activity District.

ZONING: Paul Kaczmarski has been appointed to the Township’s Board of Zoning Appeals. He is fulfilling the unexpired term of Kathy Mathies. The term ends June 3, 2016. There are still alternate positions available for both zoning boards. Please contact one of the Trustees if you are interested.

CUYAHOGA FALLS JEDD COMMISSION: Trustee Jerry Ritch attended the annual JEDD Commission meeting with Cuyahoga Falls. The Trustees reappointed Jim Jones and Ric Haury as Township representatives to the JEDD Commission.

WETMORE ROAD: The Trustees are negotiating with the City of Cuyahoga Falls to enter into an agreement for the annexation of the road right away on Wetmore.

RECOGNITION: The Trustees recognized James Conroy as an Outstanding Citizen. He was presented at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on February 24, 2013.

AKRON-CLEVELAND/WYOGA LAKE INTERSECTION: The Trustees requested assistance from the Summit County Engineers Office regarding this intersection. Due to increase in traffic we would like to see the intersection reconfigured or have a traffic light installed. Over 75% of the intersection is in Cuyahoga Falls so the engineer’s office is seeking their input.
