The Village of Peninsula Council met in regular session on the following dates:
February 8, 2016, March 21, 2016, April 11, 2016 & May 9, 2016.
February 8, 2016 meeting:
-Council voted to replace flooring in the Police Department Interrogation, File and Locker Rooms not to exceed $1450.
-Council voted to authorize the Mayor to advertise in the West Side Leader for position of Zoning Inspector.
-It was announced that Lawrence Milhoan resigned from Planning Commission. The Mayor and Council thanked "Buddy" for his years of service to the community.
-The Mayor appointed Joe Mazur to Planning Commission.
-Mr. Matusz announced that Planning Commission has formed two subcommittees 1. to look at the Long Range Plan and 2. The future use of Woodridge Intermediate School.
March 21, 2016 meeting:
-Council voted to accept the resignation of Mr. Anderson from Council.
-Council voted to appoint Mary Booth to fill Mr. Anderson's seat on Council.

-Solicitor Hesske announced her resignation effective March 31, 2016.
-Council voted to appoint Bradric Bryan of Goodwin & Bryan, as Village Solicitor effective April 1, 2016.
April 11, 2016 meeting:
-Council voted to replace the carpet in the Chief's Office at a cost of $450.
-The Mayor appointed Charles Uray as Village Engineer and Street Commissioner.
-Council voted to purchase ammunition at a cost of $3010. Passed unanimously
-Council voted to appoint Mary Booth to fill the vacant seat on the JEDD Board.
-The Mayor announced Kevin Kramer's resignation from BZA, and appointed him Village Zoning Inspector.
May 9, 2016 meeting:
-Council and Boston Township Trustees voted to renew the One Mil Agreement allowing Boston Township to operate the Boston and Cedar Grove Cemeteries in Peninsula.
-Council voted to publicly post on the Village website, the Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFQ) for professional consulting services for the planning, design and construction of a new wastewater collection and treatment system improvements, as well as email notice to the eight engineering firms that the Wastewater Advisory Committee has identified.
-Ms. Schneider announced her resignation from the JEDD Board.
-Council voted unanimously to appoint Mr. Matusz to the JEDD Board.
-Council voted to adopt the Village of Peninsula Council Rules and Guidelines for the establishment, appointment, and responsibilities of Council Liaisons.
LEGISLATION - FEBRUARY 8TH MEETING:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF PENINSULA, OHIO PLANNING COMMISSION TO CHANGE ITS MONTHLY MEETING DATE FROM THE 4TH TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 5:30 PM TO THE FOURTH MONDAY AT 7:00 PM OF EACH MONTH.
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO MAINTAIN STATE HIGHWAYS, APPLY STANDARD LONGITUDINAL PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND ERECT REGULATORY AND WARNING SIGNS ON STATE HIGHWAYS INSIDE THE VILLAGE OF PENINSULA, OHIO AND GIVING CONSENT OF THE VILLAGE TO THE PLOWING OF SNOW AND USE OF ABRASIVES FOR ICE CONTROL UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION OF THE STATE OF OHIO.

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH THE COMPENSATION OF THE ZONING INSPECTOR.
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF PENINSULA, OHIO AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE EXPECTED SIGN LIFE METHOD TO BE USED FOR MAINTAINING
