BOSTON TOWNSHIP

The township minutes are posted on our website at www.bostontownship.org and outside the fiscal office at the Boston Township Hall. Trustee meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Zoning commission meets the second Tuesday of the month and the Board of Zoning Appeals meets the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Welcome Back, Dave!: The Boston Township Trustees would like to welcome Dave Krusinski back to the township road department. Dave was hired as the Road Superintendent and started his position on August 27. Dave had worked previously for the township in his high school and college years.

Zoning Updates: The township trustees held a hearing on the creation of a new chapter for the zoning ordinance. At the hearing on August 8, the trustees approved the creation of the Seasons Road Business District. This district is designed to capitalize on the proximity to the activity occurring along Seasons Road in Stow, Hudson and Cuyahoga Falls. Meanwhile, Northstar Planning has begun the review process for the remainder of the Business Corridor. The purpose of this process is to give the township an opportunity to review the zoning for the Business Corridor that last saw major changes in 1996.

Zoning Appointment: Marty Griffith was re-appointed to the Zoning Commission for a five-year term expiring September 4, 2023. Marty has been a great asset to the Zoning Commission, especially as the commission is in the process of reviewing and revising the zoning for the Business Corridor.

Scobie Road: The township contracted with Olivo Construction to replace a failed culvert on Scobie Rd. The culvert had last been replaced in the 1980s.
