BOSTON TOWNSHIP

The township minutes are posted on our website at www.bostontownship.org and outside the fiscal office at the Boston Township Hall. Trustee meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Zoning commission meets the second Tuesday of the month and the Board of Zoning Appeals meets the fourth Wednesday of the month.

FAKOLT ESTATE: The Township Trustees voted to assume title to the property donated to the township by the late Jeanette Fakolt. Jeanette, a life-long resident of Boston Township, left her home and other assets to the township. At this time, no decision has been made regarding the long-term use of the property. It is very humbling that Jeanette chose Boston Township to be the recipient of her estate.

Road Department: Unusual fall weather left leaves on trees well beyond years past. Seemingly, the leaves fell all at once! The leaf clean-up was then delayed by snow falling on top of the leaves, but the vacuuming process has been completed.

ZONING UPDATES: Northstar Planning is continuing to work with the Zoning Commission to review the zoning for the Business Corridor (Chapter 7) which last saw major changes in 1996. Of special concern is focusing on impacts on the residential areas along the west side of Akron-Cleveland Road.

SHARE THE SEASON: The trustees would like to thank all who helped make this year`s distribution of food and other items a great success!

BOSTON TOWNSHIP BAZAAR: The trustees would like to thank all those who helped make the Bazaar a great time! Forty vendors were present for the day-long event that was visited by an almost continuous flow of shoppers. Vendors reported a successful day of sales and shoppers left with sought-after treasures.
