than an ordinary man,
but he is braver
five minutes longer.

The township minutes are posted on our website at www.bostontownship.org and outside the fiscal office at the Boston Township Hall. Trustee meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Zoning commission meets the second Tuesday of the month and the Board of Zoning Appeals meets the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Road Department: Both the Peninsula Village Council and the Boston Township Trustees have signed a Cooperation Agreement regarding road maintenance. With the village road personnel working out of the Boston Township garage, there have been many opportunities for the two departments to work together on projects. The village and the township will be looking at further ways that the two communities can work together on road issues in the future. In light of the recent storms, there may be branches that came down in the storm. For both village and township residents, please place branches out near the curb and the road personnel will be around to pick them up. You may also call (330) 657-2600 and leave a message.

Zoning Updates: It was with regret that the Trustees voted to accept the resignation of Township Zoning Inspector John Schneider at the meeting held on March 13. We thank John for his service and wish him the best! The Zoning Commission continues to work with Mark Majewski of NorthStar Planning regarding text amendments to the Business Corridor. The most recent draft will be reviewed at the meeting to be held on April 9. After that, the changes will be sent to the Summit County Planning Commission for their review and comments. At that point, hearings can be scheduled for both the Zoning Commission and the Boston Township Trustees to review the revisions.

Welcome Peninsula Library!: The Trustees are pleased to host the Peninsula Library`s programs during the upcoming renovations. The township meeting room is usually used only during the evenings allowing it to be used during the daytime for the library.
